Charlie Griak is an accomplished independent filmmaker, storyboard artist, and freelance illustrator,

with a passion for bringing projects to life with dynamic imagery.

He has directed and edited four live-action feature-length films: The Center (2015), Nina of the Woods (2020), A Heart Like Water (2022), and End of the Rope (2024). Notably, he collaborated with Jonathan Demme on his debut film, The Center, with Demme serving as the presenter and executive producer after viewing a rough cut. End of the Rope, based on a true murder investigation in 1931 North Dakota, is currently available digitally and on-demand, distributed by Saban Films.

In addition to his filmmaking career, Griak is a dedicated illustrator. His love for drawing has led to numerous rewarding experiences as an illustrator, storyboard artist, designer, and animator, with clients including Microsoft, Target, American Express, and National Geographic.

Constantly striving to refine his craft, Charlie has studied marble sculpture in Pietrasanta, Italy,

and attended the Illustration Academy for two summer sessions. His dedication to his art is

evident in every project he undertakes.
